Phillip's Grad cake
If you can't tell he graduated from
Georgia Tech.
I was last minute and it wasn't suppose
to take more than 30 minute to decorate,
but it ended up taking like 2 hours.
The GT would not come out right.
I did a shell boarder along the top and bottom.
The GT was done with a star tip #18 and
out lined with tip #4

My Christmas Present
Here is my Christmas present from my nephew Jordan. He's a Chow mix, his name is Bear. He's the sweetest little
thing, doesn't whine or yelp really, very good with children. Which is a good thing since I have to take him with me too Elizabeth's house.
Bullet is between 10 and 12 weeks old. He looks like a Lab, so I believe he's a Lab Chow mix, he had white under his chine and the tips of his paws are white.
One good thing about him is that he does lick you like a puppies usually does.
Right now we are in the process of potty-training and I thought that my potty-training days were over for a while.
He is out side right now, he start to pee on the carpet, but I caught him before he could.
We I saw him I told no and he looked at me and started to run and almost fell in the kitchen, he ran to his bed. Which is a big old blanket right behind the back door. He has to go to his bed a lot.
It is so cute.
Well I need to go and get him in.
I'll have to up date again soon.

A little of what's been going on
I did my own cake, it looked better in person than it
does here. It kind of looked like one of those cakes you
get out of the bakery at Wal-Mart.

I had to use some store bought frosting, which is a pain to really decorate with. I had made up some frosting, but it wasn't enough and so I had to pull out the back. Store bought frosting is just too creamy to really do anything with.
I got a new mixer that stands up for my birthday! :D
Other than that Everything is going ok.
I went with my sister to the skating ring tonight.
We had my 3 nephews and David poor thing he can't really skate actually all he does is walk with the skates on. And tonight there were some people there that was showing off and they were skating really fast and skate right by you and you would almost lose your balance. Some of the people showing off were doing tricks kind of in the middle of the ring.
Then at one point they ask everyone who wanted to do the Hokey Pokey and another song ( can't think of it right now ) to form a circle in the middle. So, Elizabeth and Charlson got out there and did the Hokey Pokey and the other song. The other song you slide to the left and slide to the right, now everybody clap your hands.
The tune is playing over and over in my head. At first not really anyone was going to do the songs and then next thing you know a lot of people were doing.
On Sunday this coming Sunday December the 14, 2008 Bro.Blue (I believe that's how you spell his last name) is going to be preaching for us. Bro.Michael is in New Mexico right now. He's visiting his daughter Sis.Sharon and her family Bro.William.
I just thought I'd let y'all know. Service is at 10:30 a.m.
Well when I can think of anything else to say I will, but until then this is it.
Have a good night.

Kool-Aid Play Dough
Cause it has gotten too cold to really play out side and
the past 3 days he has had a stuffy nose and watery eyes.
So instead of being bored staying in the house during this
cold time. I decide to make some play dough.
Here is the recipe for Kool-Aid Play Dough
1/2 cup salt
2 - 1/2 cups flour
2 pkgs. Kool-Aid
3 tablespoons oil
2 cups boiling water
* Mix the dry ingredients together, then add the oil, the water
and knead.
I did cherry kool-aid and lime kool-aid together. I thought that
after I had done mixed the cherry kool-aid in that it would turn
our hands red. But actually it did not.
I suggest that you use wax paper when playing with it andjust a little
extra flour also.
Next week is Thanksgiving and I'm so excited even though none of
the family is coming in. I can't wait for Thanksgiving I love it all the
cooking and then finally you get to sit done and eat.
But before next Thursday, this Thursday is David's 3rd birthday.
We are gong to have his birthday party on Friday, it's going to
be a dinosaur party. I have a couple of ideas of how I am going to
do his cake. I'm excited about doing it.
I'll post more later. :D

only Monday.
We didn't have church yesterday cause Sis.Paula's funeral
was yesterday.
Sis.Paula will be missed, she was what a true friend is.
On Thursday Sis.Paula went home to be with the Lord.
He saw that it was better for her to be with Him than to
still be here with us.
Please pray for her family, her husband Scott, and her
two sons Derek (19) and Jordan(13).
She will greatly missed, but it was her time. It will be hard for
a while to get used to her not being here, but as time
goes on I will still greatly miss her, but I know that she is
in a far better place and one day real soon Lords Will we'll
all join her up there in Heaven.
I will try and put up some pictures soon. I don't have them
with me right now. I'm at my sister's house watching
my nephew whom I'm trying my best to teach ALS.
Elizabeth a little video camera anyways that is what it
is call, but it looks more like a regular digital camera.
Anyways, I had an idea that I would record him doing
what he knows already, but after like five attemps it didn't go
to well.
I'd tell him to show me how to do sit down and he would
get on the couch and said like this and would sit down, same
thing with jump. David would show me how to jump.
I'm gonna keep trying.
In other news, my brother is leaving next week to go to Iraq.
He's joining the oil field over there.
He'll be over there for a year, he said that he'll be able to come
home for 8 days out of each month.
But we won't see him until next April, Lord's Will.
He lives in Virginia.
Anyways, Wednesday we are going to have a Memorial service
at church for Sis.Paula.
Well, I'll try and post some pictures soon, like I said before.
I need to go it's almost 12:00 p.m. and David's nap time.
Talk more later.
Oh yeah! I forgot I finished my first scarf, it's a little shorter than
I hoped, but it's three different kinds of pink.
I'll post a picture of that also.

Recipe
a recipe that I found from Taste of Home
book. I have tried it a lot and it taste really good.
So here it is:
Baked Chimichangas
2-1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken breast
1 cup salsa
1 small onion, chopped
3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
6 flour tortillas (10 inches), warmed ( you may need more
that just six tortillas, I usuall use eight)
1 cup chicken broth
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese ( I sometimes use the
whole bag of cheese, but that's just because I love cheese)
2 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
1/8 teaspoon peeper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour ( or 4 tablespoons same as 1/4 cup)
1 cup half and half cream
1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chilies
1. In a nonstick skillet, simmer first five ingredients
until heated through and most of the liquid evaporates.
Place 1/2 cup chicken mixture down the center of each
tortilla; top with 2 tablespoons cheese. (I usually use
a lot of cheese at this point, never just a 2 tablespoons,
just sprinkle until I think it's enough.)
2. Fold sides and ends over filling; roll up. Place
seam side down in a 13-in.x 9-in.x 2-in. baking dish,
(I usually just get the next to the biggest casserole
dish and use it) coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake,
uncovered, at 425 for 15 minuted or until browned.
3. In a saucepan, heat brother, bouillon and pepper
until bouillon is dissolved. Combine flour and cream
until smooth; stir into the broth. Bring to a boil; cook
and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in chillies;
heat through. To serve, cut chimichangas in half; spoon
sauce over top.
Note: I notice if reheat them that they seem to be
a little spicy. To me they aren't spicy when I make them,
when I rewarmed one the next day for dinner that it has
a little heat to it.

Cake Picture
Well I finally have gotten around to putting a picture of the cake I did for my nephew David's birthday last year. He kept talking about Elmo and so I decide (having no idea have to decorate a cake) to make him an Elmo cake and it was much bigger than what I thought it would be.I will post another picture soon.
This year I'm gonna do David the Cookie Monster.
Jordan is going to have either a Car cake or Spider man. Now Charlson I have no idea
what kind of cake.
Davids birthday is November 20, he'll be 3.
Well I have to go now I'll post more later.
Tuesday, September 23, 2008

Jordan my loving nephew. He's the one most likely to get into trouble.
The other day he decided to pour candle wax down the bathroom sink. I asked him why he did it, he said because there was water in the candle. If you think about to a four year old that would make since cause he didn't realize that the water was actually wax and so therefore he poured it down the bathroom sink.
Q: How do you get wax out of the drain?
Mom has a digital camera now so I'm gonna try and take some pictures of the cakes I do with it.
I made an apple pie this past weekend. I've been wanting to make a pie now that it has started to cool off, so I make a apple pie. I'm looking for a good pumpkin and sweet potato pie recipes. I thought about doing a sweet potato casserole this Thanksgiving instead of a pie.
I'll write more later. See Ya!

David

David and myself were outside a little while ago and we were sitting on the steps in the front and looking at the birds and talking about them.
It is interesting to hear what a 2 1/2 year old has to say about birds. I was telling David that there are some birds that knock on trees and telephone poles looking for bugs too eat. He said why do they (the birds) get a bowl to put the bugs and then eat them?
David is about to fall asleep. We are at his house and he is watching a show called Hi 5. It is a cute littleshow and educational. It's these 5 people, 3 women and 2 men they sing and dance, tell stories use their imagination. Hi 5 is for 2 to 8 year olds. It is better than have the children shows now a days.
Well this weekend I have to get the stuff to make another cake. Bro.Scott at church, we are have a surprise partyfor him next Saturday. He thinks it is just a church get together, hopefully he want find out. He's turning 40 and so his wife wants him to fill old like her. She's just two years older than him.
Well I will update again soooooooooooooooon. :D

Update
Here is a picture of when David is happy.Right now it is his naptime, but we have been busy all morning that he is late at taking his nap.
He is eating his lunch and is looking rather tired. I'm going to see if he falls asleep.
Well, next Monday is Labor Day and so Elizabeth is off work. YAY! I am happy I have no children on Monday. I'm rather happy about that.
We have church on Thursday instead of Wednesday this week cause Bro. Jewel Forney
is preaching for us and I can't wait. I love to hear Bro. Jewel preach.
Tomorrow David and myself are going chopping. I was able to save some of my paycheck and now I am going to get my some new shirts at least.
Well I need to go now. I will try and add more soon.
Nathan is at home now and since he is a Marine he want be going back to Iraq for a while.
He's just going to be moving from post to post.

Good News
a cup of coffee that was not decaffeine either.
I am trying my best to stay away from caffeine,
it makes my face brake out sometimes kind of
bad. But I do have to have my Mr.Pibb Extra
every once in a while.
But the real reason that I am excited is cause
my friend Nathan, (the one in Iraq) since
he's been over there for 6 months. He is
getting some leave.
He contacted his parents the other week and
that is all he told them. I told his Aunt that
at least they heard something from him.
At least they know that he probably was in
an area where he couldn't have contact.
I know that they wanted to hear more from
him, but I am just happy and glade that he's
ok.
Nathan is getting leave sometime I believe at the
end of this month. Just pray that nothing goes
wrong and he is able to make it home safe.
Thank You.
In other less exciting news I made my friends
cake, it's not decorated yet. It just has been
made. I got a carring box to put it in last night
at the store. The bottom layer is a 12 inch
heart, and I was not thinking, but I got a
12 by 12 inch box to put it in, I did not think about
the cake board I had to put under it. I did cut the
cake board a little bigger than the size of the cake,
it's in the heart shape. So, last night when
the cake was finally done baking and cooling and
had been leveled it was time for the moment
of truth I put the cake in the box, but due to the
size on the cake board the box came apart on
one side. The box was deep enough for the cake
and that is what I like about it. So, today
sometime I have to go back to the store and
try and find another cake box that's just as
deep, but a little more wider.
Well that is about all for now. I will try and
post some pictures soon.

Cake
Next Saturday August 9, 2008.
One of the families at church their daughter
is having her 16th birthday party and
I am doing the cake.
I am nervous, even though I know I can do
it. I am just worried about having to transport the
cake about 30 minutes away.
I am also excited about it also.
Maybe I'll be able to get pictures of the cake
from someone and post them.
I am praying really hard that it will turn out
the way I want it too.
I just got done making my Mom's cake all I have
to do is decorate it, her birthday is Thursday
August 7 2008. But she has to work and we
are having church this Thursday also, so
probably Tuesday we'll celebrate her birthday.
Well I have to go. The clothes just finish in the
dryer and I have to wash more.

A Friend In War
And his family hasn't heard from him
in a while, so they aren't sure if
he's ok. I just pray that right now he's
in an area that he can't have any
communication. He was sent over there
in January.
Here is a little song from Mark Schultz
It's called Letters From War
She walked to the mailbox
On that bright summer's day
Found a letter from her son
In a war, far away
He spoke of the weather
And friends that he'd made
Said, "I'd been thinking 'bout Dad
And the life that he had
That's why I'm here today
"Then at the end he said
"You are what I'm fighting for"
It was the first of his letters from war
She started writing
Chorus
You're good and you're brave
What aa father you'll be someday
Make it home, make it safe
She wrote every night as she prayed
And late in December
A day she'll not forget
Oh, her tears stained the paper
With every word that she read
It said, "I was up on a hill
I was out there alone
When the shots all rang out
And bombs were exploding
And that's when I saw him
He came back for me
Though he was captured
A man set me free
That man was your son
He asked me to write to you
I told him I would, oh I swore"
It was the last of the letters from war
And she prayed he was living
Kept on believing and wrote every night just to say
[chorus]
You are good and you're brave
What a father you'll be someday
Make it home, make it safe
Still, she kept writing each day
Then two years later
Autumn leaves all around
A car pulled in the driveway
And she fell to the ground
And out stepped a captain
Where her boy used to stand
He said, "Mom, I'm following orders
From all of your letters
And I've come home again
"He ran in to hold her
And dropped all his bags on the floor
Holding all of her letters from war
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home
Even though Mark Schultz wrote this song for his grandma, cause she was
afraid that one of her sons wouldn't come back from war.
I believe it also is for today, with the families waiting for there Loves
ones to come back home.
Please pray for my friend Nathan.

Democracy or Republic
States) is a Democracy, but I have to differ.
We are not a Democracy, but a Republic.
In the The Pledge we say " And to the REPUBLIC
for which it stands."
So if we were a democracy, we would say
" And to the DEMOCRACY for which it stands."
So I am putting on here a little of the difference between the
two, so here it is or they are:
A Democracy
The chief characteristic and distinguishing feature of a Democracy is: Rule by Omnipotent Majority. In a Democracy, The Individual, and any group of Individuals composing any Minority, have no protection against the unlimited power of The Majority. It is a case of Majority-over-Man.
Democracy, as a form of government, is utterly repugnant to--is the very antithesis of--the traditional American system: that of a Republic, and its underlying philosophy, as expressed in essence in the Declaration of Independence with primary emphasis upon the people’s forming their government so as to permit them to possess only "just powers" (limited powers) in order to make and keep secure the God-given, unalienable rights of each and every Individual and therefore of all groups of Individuals.
A Republic
A Republic, on the other hand, has a very different purpose and an entirely different form, or system, of government. Its purpose is to control The Majority strictly, as well as all others among the people, primarily to protect The Individual’s God-given, unalienable rights and therefore for the protection of the rights of The Minority, of all minorities, and the liberties of people in general. The definition of a Republic is: a constitutionally limited government of the representative type, created by a written Constitution--adopted by the people and changeable (from its original meaning) by them only by its amendment--with its powers divided between three separate Branches: Executive, Legislative and Judicial. Here the term "the people" means, of course, the electorate.

My Little Super Hero
He is my super hero, almost everyday he comes to me
wanting me to tie his blanket around him. He'll say
" Can you tie this ? " and hand me his blanket.
He's so cute.
He also has decided to become a different animal
everyday and so far it's been a dog, cat, monkey,
or lion.
Yeah, so everyday is different.

Here's David in his
super hero outfit.
Thinking of where to go next.

Things this week
Elizabeth decided that she would watch one of her
friends dog while her friend is out of town.
Well the dog has puppies, she has 10 all together,
but my sister only took 4 and another friend has
6 of them. So, these puppies are still little need their
mom. My sister thought that it would be no sweat to
take care of 4 puppies plus their mom. I have no clue
what got into my sister. They are pitbulls also and so cute.
The momma is really good and calm.
School is out and so my nephew is out of school for
like I don't know how long. Which I really am glad
for that cause he helps out in watching his brothers.
The only problem is, is when he decides to be really
whiney and then that becomes a problem really fast.
This coming weekend Dad, Mom, and myself are going
visit my loving brother JD and his family up in VA.
An 8 hour drive. Oh yeah.
He lives near Richmond, VA, so that is why it's gonna
take us almost if not 8 hours to get there.
We'll be leaving early Saturday morning and leaving to
come back some time Monday morning.
I'm kind of excited cause I have seen him since Christmas
and plus I'm actually getting out of town for what
1 or 2 days something like that.
Well, I have to go now. I will write or type more
later.
It's almost the boys lunch time.
:D

Here are a few pictures that I have of us ice skating. Karen Q took them for us and I thank her for that.
This picture is of my sister and myself right before we we got on the ice.

Here is a picture of us right after we go on the ice. We haven't been in like 3 years and so we weren't that stable. But after a while we got it I believe.
Here we are after a while we got it I believe. Elizabeth fell like twice and I almost fell a couple of times or so.Wednesday, May 14, 2008
Picture

I finally have gotten around to posting a picture of 3 of my nephews and
1 of my sisters. Jordan the one on the right I have no idea what he was
looking at when I took this picture.
This pictue was taken last year. I took pictures of them for my Mom for
Mother's Day last year cause she kept saying how she didn't have any
updated pictures of them and all we really had was snap shots here and
there of them. But yeah, this is some of my handy work.
I hope y'all like it. See y'all later.

A Month and A Day
I can't believe I haven't put nothing on here in
a month. Cooooool!
Earth Day April 24 what did you do for the Earth?
I did nothing, cause I believe when people start trying to
help to clean up the Earth they are doing more harm then
good.
For one thing Environmental Wackos want you to use those
light bulbs that supposedly save you money and help out
saving to Earth. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually you spend more money on buying them, and then you
can use them no more then 4 hours a day so that you can
get that saving they supposedly save you. And then if you drop them
and they brake you have to call the EPA to come and clean it
up you also can't just throw them away like other light bulbs you
have to call the EPA once again to come and take of them. That
means you spend more of your money on buy those (suppose)
Life saving, energy saving, Earth saving light bulbs.
Another thing Why want the environmental wackos let us drill for
oil in our on country, we have place to drill.
But it will help the gas prices to come down, but all those brain washed
tree hugging weirdos says that it will hurt the environment.
And they want us to buy those electric cars.
Another question: What if you brake down and buy one of those
electrical cars or solar cars? What happens if you can't charge your car
over night? What if something happens at say 2:00 A.M. and you started
to charge your car at say 10:00 P.M., that means your car has gotten
about 4 hours of charge, not a full charge. That means when you are ridding
down the road to go to the hospital cause your wife is in labor or your
Dad is having a heart attack your car will die on you in the middle of the
road. Or lets say there is a really bad storm and once again you put your
car on to charge at 10:00 P.M. and the power goes out at an hour later and
doesn't come back on until about 7:00 A.M.?Your car has only had an hour
charge. How do you get to work the next morning (if your job is 30 minutes
or a hour to two hours away) and you have to be there at 5:00 or 6:00 A.M.?
You may say well the back up is gas, but what if you have forgotten to put
gas in your car, cause you are so used to using the electrical part of the car?
Or what about the solar powered cars? Once again there's a storm and this
time it starts say about 7:00 A.M. and it last all day until about 8:00 P.M.
That means since the sun is not out you can't go anywhere , right ?
You may say once again, well the back up is gas. Well once again what
it has been nice for a while out side and you've forgotten to get gas.
What do you do?
But I would like to say Thank You to all these environmental Wackos
who are trying to save the planet. They are people who have some
dumb amazing ideas and the funny thing is some are every educated
people and we actually know some of these people. I mean Very Smart
people.
I believe in keeping a yard clean and fixing up places to look nice, but when
you start talking to me about saving "Mother Earth" something is now
clicking up there, your wheels are not turn you need to put a little oil
on them.
So anyways, I am done talking about the Wackos.
If anyone can honestly explain to me, in an away I can understand
without using big words, just to make yourself sound intelligent
(like the doctors do) I would gladly welcome you opinion. And yes I
will listen and actually think about what you say before I answer.
So, anyways I must go now. So long.

I'm Back Again
A lot has happened too.
I got glasses instead of contacts like I wanted, but
it was better that I got glasses again. Since it's
Spring Time and you know what that means.
That is why for right know anyways I am
going to be wearing glasses.
Anyways, I have noticed that more men
like women with long hair and more
women want short hair, too why this is
I have no idea. A woman will tell me
fast that I should cut my hair and give it
too Locks of Love, than a man will.
This man that I know almost freaked out
cause he thought that I cut my hair and
I said no I just washed and it hasn't completely
dried and so I rapped it up in a bun.
You see, my hair is about an inch passed my
knees and I don't believe that a woman
should cut her hair I believe what the Bible
saids about a woman who cuts her hair
dishonoureth her head and the head of every woman
is the man and the head of every man is Christ.
1Corinthians 11:1-16 (KJV)
So, anyways David has really gotten the potty thing
down, he can't really get pulling his pants up and down
yet, he's does try though.
Jordan is really excited about going to pre-k this year.
He has this big book that has pre-k work in it and he
tells Charlson that he's doing his homework, it is
so cute.
I'm going to miss him when he goes, just think
in 2 more years David will be going also.
I think they are too little to go, but they have too.
Well there is a lot more to be said and no time
right now to say it in, so until I'm able to
come back again, Bye, Bye!!!!!!!!!!

Time to Up Date
Saturday, February 2, 2008
Saturday
I'm glad that it was Saturday. For one thing I got
to sleep in an extra two hours and a half. Usually
I have to get up at 6:00 a.m. but not today I was
able to get up at 8:30 a.m. And tomorrow I am
going to be able to get up at 8:30 a.m. again.
I'm so happy, oh so happy. Ok maybe not
that happy, but it does feel good to get up a little
later every once in a while.
Other than being able to get up later than usual,
I went shopping today ( yes, shopping is something
some woman live for ) , the reason for my shopping
trip today was to get my Dad a Birthday present
tomorrow is his Birthday. I was going to make him
a cake, but he's not really a person who eats sweets.
So, I don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm not
going to worry about it.
Well I will have to tell y'all how his Birthday goes
tomorrow or Monday or Tuesday or maybe even
next week sometime. Not a clue to when, but
sometime or another get back to you on that.
Bye for now.

Something New
I had no clue that potatoes contained vitamine C.
I found that out last night.

Sunday
We had a really good time at church
today. Both services were really good,
both Bro.William and Bro.Burly did a
really good job. You could feel the Spirit
moving during the song service and the
preaching also.
After the first service we came home and
I did the cooking. While I was cooking I
put margarine in the food and I have
decided that Light margarine is not that
fun to cook with. It does not work well
with me. I found out that you can not
fry with it, it's impossible to do so. It's
not a pretty site to see.
Well I have to go for now I have to babysit
two of my nephews tomorrow, a 2 year
old and a 4 year old. You can learn a lot from
a child, just when you think you know it all.

Hi Everyone
It's my very first time and I just wanted to
say Hi to all and will add more later.
